Ocean's Legacy
Ocean's Legacy is a Western Australian tackle brand, founded in Perth in 2017 by angler Alan Koh and built around one idea: every piece of the setup should be designed to work with the rest. Rods, the Elementus reel, jigs, stickbaits, hooks, assists, braid and leader all come from the same drawing board, and all of it is tested on the WA coast before it goes on sale.

Is Ocean's Legacy an Australian brand?
Yes. Ocean's Legacy is based in Forrestdale, Western Australia, and was founded in 2017 by Perth angler Alan Koh, who is still the owner and lead product tester. Blanks use Japanese Toray carbon and Fuji fittings, but every rod is built in the brand's own facility.
Which Ocean's Legacy rod should I start with for slow pitch jigging?
The Slow Element is the entry point, a PE2–4 slow pitch rod at around $300 that also throws soft plastics. From there, the Origin gives a crisper Japanese-style action, the Elementus is the flagship with a cross-carbon core, and the Adrenalin Light Game covers micro and light jigging from PE1 to 3.5.

The Roven is the slow pitch jig most Perth anglers reach for: it rocks side to side on a near-horizontal fall and comes pre-rigged with Stinger assists in 40g to 260g. The Hybrid Contact covers slow, high and speed pitch in one shape, and the Long Contact is the fast-sinking option for current.
Does Ocean's Legacy make gear for the river and the beach?
