Malosi Studio
Malosi Studio is an Australian lure brand started by Gold Coast brothers Jon and Niko, who hand-carved the first prototypes in a spare bedroom before launching in 2020. They make lures that cast straight, swim properly and hold up to being belted: floating and sinking stickbaits, surface and diving poppers, long-cast minnows and a faceted casting metal.

What is the difference between the Malosi Staple Series and the Master Series?
The Masters are the premium timber lures with a solid paulownia core and resin shell. The Staples are the same shapes built in a dual-layer ABS shell with stainless through-wire, pre-rigged with 5X BKK hooks, at a price you can throw at rocks. We stock the Staple Series at Nedlands.
Which Malosi lure for samsonfish and tuna off Rottnest?
The Staple Chieftain 150 to 210 floating stickbait is the go-to when fish are up on the surface, the Tyrant 150 or 180 surface popper when you need noise, and the Hero 140 long-cast minnow when they're holding just under. All three come pre-rigged.
Does Malosi make lures for bream and whiting?
Yes. The Micro Series is the small end of the range: the Atom 60 and 75 surface popper, the Echo 65 to 95 walking pencil and the Minion 65 to 95 floating minnow. They're built for bream, whiting, flathead and small mulloway on 1–3kg gear.
What's the difference between the Malosi Tyrant and Talo?
The Tyrant is a surface popper with an asymmetric cup and a low centre of gravity: a long stab gives a deep bloop, short jerks make it porpoise. The Talo is a diving popper that pushes air under the surface for a long bubble trail and a tight wobble. Both come in 120, 150 and 180mm.
Does Malosi make soft plastics?
