What's in a drone rig?
A release mechanism that attaches to the drone, a leader section, sinker, and hook setup. When you trigger the release, the rig drops cleanly and the drone flies back without trailing line.
Can I make my own drone rigs?
Yes — many anglers customise their rigs for specific species. But our pre-made rigs are designed for reliable release and optimal presentation. Good starting point before customising.
What bait for drone fishing?
Whole fish (mullet, herring), squid, and large bait strips work well. The bait needs to be heavy enough to deploy properly and robust enough to survive the flight. Balloon rigs are also popular.
How far out should I drop?
Depends on the beach topography. Use your drone's camera to spot gutters, channels, and depth changes — that's where the fish are. Usually 200-500m is the sweet spot for Perth beaches.
