What is a bottom meat?
A Vexed-designed lure combining weighted head with trailing tentacles/soft bodies that pulse in current. Designed for vertical reef fishing near the bottom.
How to fish?
Drop to reef, tiny hops and lifts just centimetres off bottom. Tentacles do the work in current. Keep in the strike zone where reef species feed.
What species?
Breaksea cod, dhufish, baldchin groper, pink snapper, harlequin fish — species feeding close to structure that won't chase fast lures.
Bottom meat vs micro meat?
Micro meats are smaller/lighter for shallower water on PE1-2 gear. Standard bottom meats are heavier for deep reef on PE3-5.
