44 SERIES, BUILT IN-HOUSE, DESIGNED IN PERTH
Ocean's Legacy Rods
Ocean's Legacy don't outsource a single rod. Every blank is built in the brand's own facility on 40-tonne Japanese Toray carbon with Fuji guides and reel seats, and the flagship Elementus adds a cross-carbon core the brand claims is 28% stronger. It started in 2017 with two slow pitch rods, the Slow Element and the Origin, and it's now 44 series deep: jigging, popping, shore casting, surf, drone, estuary finesse and electric deep drop.
Compleat Angler Nedlands holds the biggest Ocean's Legacy rod range in Australia. Rods are grouped below by the type of fishing they're built for, and every one is rated to real jig and lure weights rather than a vague label.
Frequently Asked Questions
Which Ocean's Legacy rod for slow pitch jigging dhufish and snapper?
The Slow Element is the entry point at around $300. The Origin has a crisper Japanese-style action, the Elementus is the flagship, and the Solist Titanium is the top of the range with a titanium-carbon reel seat. All are rated to specific jig weights, so match the rod to the Roven or Contact you're dropping.
Which Ocean's Legacy rod for samsonfish?
For jigging, the Adrenalin Deep Game or Elementus Deep Jigging in PE4–6. For casting stickbaits when sambos are on the surface, the Raptus, Aggressor or Focal II. For the biggest fish and dogtooth, the Vengeance.
What's the Adrenalin Light Game rod for?
Micro and light jigging. It's a PE1–3.5 rod rated for 50g to 220g jigs with a parabolic bend that makes fighting fish easy for its rating. It's not a whiting or estuary rod; for that, look at the Quest and Insight BFS.
Which Ocean's Legacy rod for the beach and rocks?
Dream Cast and Dream Cast II for light shore casting at tailor, salmon and mackerel. Genesis in Light and Heavy Landbased Game for bigger fish from the rocks. Aurora and Backline for surf and drone fishing, with the Backline Drone Spec built specifically for drone payloads.
Does Ocean's Legacy make a rod for the Swan River?
Yes. The Quest Inshore Finesse was developed in the Peel, Blackwood and Kalgan rivers for bream, flathead and whiting, and the Insight BFS is the bait-finesse baitcast option for the same fish. The Dream Cast Squid Seeker is the egi rod for the lower river and metro beaches.
