Daiwa Australia designs rods specifically for the way we fish here: the Infeet and TD Black for bream and light lure work, the Saltist, TD Hyper and TD Commander for the boat, Demon Blood for heavy casting and jigging, Sensor Sandstorm and Saltiga Surf for the beach, and the Seaborg and Tanacom rods for electric deep drop. Underneath is Daiwa's carbon grading from HVF to SVF to Z-SVF, X45 bias wraps to stop twist, 3DX butt sections for lifting power, and AGS carbon guides 40% lighter than titanium.

What do HVF, SVF and Z-SVF mean on a Daiwa rod?
They're Daiwa's carbon grades, ranked by how much resin is in the blank. HVF (High Volume Fibre) has less resin and more carbon than standard; SVF is thinner and lighter again; Z-SVF is the lightest. Nanoplus is a resin process applied on top of any grade for higher carbon density.
