Fishing Guides FAQs
What's the easiest fish to catch in Perth?
Whiting and squid are great places to start. Both are common around Perth's beaches and jetties, bite well on simple setups and don't need expensive gear.
Should I fish with bait or lures?
Both work. Bait is simple and great for beginners, while lures let you cover more water and target active fish. Many anglers carry both and switch depending on how the fish are biting.
When is the best time to go fishing?
Early morning, late afternoon and around the tide changes are usually the most productive. Each guide covers the best times and seasons for that fish.
