The Summer Classic is all about getting anglers on the water, fishing local estuaries, and enjoying everything that makes WA summer fishing special. With junior, senior, and open divisions, there’s a category for everyone!
🎣 Fishing Period
Start: 9:00am, 12 January 2026
Finish: 11:59pm, 8 February 2026
Register anytime before or during the competition.
📍 Boundaries
Estuary systems only:
Swan River, Canning River, Moore River, Peel Inlet, Murray River, Serpentine River
All fishing must comply with current WA recreational fishing regulations.
💰 Entry Fee
$25 per entrant
Includes entry into all applicable prize categories and weekly raffles.

Senior (17 and over)

Open (all ages)
Longest: Bartail Flathead on a Vexed Buckabou, Mulloway, Black Bream, Blue Swimmer Crab (claw to claw), Tailor

📜 Rules
Pictures: Fish entered must be photographed immediately after capture showing a time-stamped picture with total length. A brag mat or WA Fisheries sticker must be used.
Event Tag: The official event tag must be visible in the photo. Laminated event-tag cards will be issued upon registration.
