The G. Loomis IMX Pro rods extend the lightweight, performance-driven IMX line-up with a series of lure-specific models. Unlike other rods that utilise the same mandrel for multiple lengths and tapers, each rod in the G. Loomis IMX Pro lineup has been custom-built using G. Loomis’ multi-taper technology to provide the ideal strength-to-weight ratio. Fitted with series of premium Fuji K-Frame guides, the rods are up to 15% lighter and are complete with premium cork grips.

An amazingly light tip with a surprisingly powerful butt-section, this rod is designed for light-line, small bait drop-shotting in relatively deep water, say up to 25'. It's designed for fishing open water where all you cover isn't as big a concern and getting the bite is! It's unique in that you really don't need to set the hook. You just make a couple of quick cranks as you lift and the rod takes care of the rest. Thanks to our IMX-PRO technology, it's very light and very sensitive. It's finesse fishing at it's best!

If you're looking for the perfect tube rod, look no further. At 7' you've got the length for fishing deeper water and the power to set the hook. It fishes light jigs and other small soft plastic baits as well as any rod we make. It has a medium-soft tip and powerful butt that is perfect for unweighted, soft plastic jerkbaits, but it will fish topwaters and even jerkbaits well. The tip is light enough to cast light baits with enough power in the butt to manage even the largest surprises! A great, all around spinning rod and one of our best smallmouth rods.
