Daiwa Gekkabijin Pin Beam 2.6in

Engineered by tester Nagashi Watanabe, the Daiwa Gekkabijin Pin Beam features an ultra-thin, elongated tail designed to entice even the most cautious horse mackerel. The dual-material construction combines a rigid hard-molded core with a supple soft exterior, delivering a secure body that resists hook slippage while the responsive tail undulates enticingly with minimal water movement. Its compact profile maximizes length efficiency, triggering strikes from sluggish fish, while the delicate tail flexes freely for superior hook penetration and landing success.

The tail, which takes up more than half of the body, has a modest action when simply retrieved, like a quietly swimming small fish, but when shaken, it moves seductively, instantly imbuing it with the lifelike qualities of a whitebait or icefish. This sharp action can also be used to trigger a bite.

The cup between the body and tail also creates just the right amount of resistance, making up for the drawback of slim worms, which tend to feel unresponsive.

The body core is made of hard material and the outside is made of soft material, giving it a firm body that won't slip off the hook easily, and a soft, long tail that appeals seductively even in the slightest water current.
